2004-08-05 [QueenShell]: Nah, that's true. They choose them self, as heterosexual people choose not to be gay. Yes, it's a choice as much as homosexuals. But it takes time for you to realise you're gay (I think), and of course do the family need adjustment time, but it's not imposible to accept it. I've grown up with the fact that homosexuality isn't wrong due to that my aunt is a lesbian (and married, as it is legal here in DK) So the thought of homosexuality being wrong has never-ever crossed my mind... I have myself (as most teenagers have) thought the thought of me being gay. But I'm not, even though I think that girls are pretty.... Dunno, if it's "black" to you...

I'm not going to rant about it here, however. And as this world is not ruled by Christianity, we're going to leave that subject. Same-sex marriage is, in many people's eyes, immoral. Same-sex relationships gets them off balance. 'Man was meant to love woman, and woman was meant to love man.' That's the theory they've always lived with, and same-sex marriage is threatening this ideal. They get confused and scared. This is how people are.

I think it's shinto; I haven't studied Japan in a while. So maybe Christianity has a strong hold on certain areas of the world, but so does Hindu and Bhuddism and many other religions.

Unfortunately there's a lot of Christians who think that, and not many who actually read what their religion really has to offer. It's very sad. And technically, yes, anyone who doesn't know Jesus Christ and doesn't beleive that he went through one of the most painful tortures and deaths this world has to offer out of love, will end up in Hell. It's the whole 'paying for your sins' shtick. But yes, you have every right to get annoyed.

You've studied Christianity, you should know the ten commandments, the ten laws Christians are bound to live by, and the two that Christ set down to help guide Christians along the way. There isn't any difference other than religion, although that IS a huge difference. lol. :) I don't know what CA's policy for gay marriage is yet, but it better be for and not against. Californians have enough hate towards Bush, and there are enough oddballs here. :)
2004-08-07 [Lioness123]: well, I'm catholic and as far as I know, no one can be a gay catholic b/c the act is condemed by the church. Gays can't recieve any of the sacraments (communion, confession, etc.) and they certainly can't marry. The state may approve the marriage, but the church will never recognize it.
